Safe start to the new academic year:
Munich International School back in the classroom with Cubusan
1200 pupils of 65 different nationalities attend the Munich International School (MIS) in Starnberg. The academic year began back in mid-August. But this year Cubusan air disinfection devices have been installed in the first 25 rooms; comprising not only classrooms, but also labs and music rooms.
Before selecting a technology, the school extensively tested other solutions, including air filtration units that were on loan in the classrooms. Ultimately, the school management team opted for the Cubusan for several reasons:
- Cubusan devices are much quieter, operating at 32 dB(A).
- The devices are maintenance-free, so there is no requirement to change filters.
- The Cubusan consumes much less power (roughly one tenth of that of other devices).
- The devices produce no draft, because the air is not circulated as with filter systems.
Ms. Smidt, a teacher at the school, feels well protected by the Cubusan devices and is particularly impressed with their discreet look in the classroom: “I don’t notice them at all.”
