The s’Innviertel tourism association is using the Cubusan air purification device at its office in Ried and at a second location in Geinberg. Cubusan eliminates viruses and bacteria and protects against infections. Developed by WINTERSTEIGER, this handy cube has been awarded the Upper Austrian State Prize for Innovation.

A tourist office is a very busy place. Tourists and locals alike are always dropping by for information or to pick up a cycling or hiking map. In preparation for the autumn and winter months, managing director Gerald Hartl has invested in the Cubusan air purification unit. “For us, it goes without question that we need to protect our guests and employees from infection as far as possible. In addition, we see Cubusan as a means to help prevent another closure,” explains Hartl.

With its appealing design, the 19 x 19 x 19 cm cube blends well into modern, bright environments and often arouses the interest of customers, who are happy to have the innovative device explained to them. The tourism association’s office is also home to the “Mitten im Innviertel” LEADER region. For the LEADER colleagues, Cubusan acts as a kind of additional insurance: “There are always four of us in the office, so an air purifier is very helpful,” explains LEADER managing director Rita Atzwanger. Gerald Hartl lists further advantages: “The investment costs were cheaper compared to other solutions. The Cubusan is also much more discreet in terms of size and noise levels than air filtration systems. It is very important to me that the Cubusan is also a product from our own region. WINTERSTEIGER is an established Innviertel company.” The Cubusan is maintenance-free and portable, weighing only 12 kg. It is quickly packed away and can also be used elsewhere, such as at seminars or board meetings.

Cubusan was developed by WINTERSTEIGER and has been awarded the Upper Austria State Prize for Innovation (third place). It uses innovative Sterex plasma technology to instantly eliminate viruses and bacteria through a filtration device without moving the air in the room. Cubusan does not require any chemicals, ozone, or UVC, and presents no risk to health.
