The device must be mounted or installed between 1 m and 2.50 m above the floor. One unit is suitable for rooms of approx. 50 m² (but maximum room volume is 120 m³). You can position as many cubes as you wish in larger rooms. The area per person in the room should be at least approx. 3.5 m² to ensure sufficient distancing. The Cubusan must be activated at least 1 hour before the room is used to ensure the best possible protection.

** For safety reasons, a distance of at least 1 meter from the device should be maintained when spending longer periods of time in the room.


Conventional air purification systems, usually filter systems, have one major disadvantage: with these systems, the room air is swirled around strongly, circulated, and only gradually cleaned via the filter. This spreads bacteria and dangerous viruses around the room and transports them to other people – so that keeping your distance to others is of less benefit. Moreover, filtering all of the air in the room is very time and energy consuming. Units set up in the room are very noisy with the air flow rate required for germ reduction and usually also require regular cleaning/replacement of the filters.

The diagram shows the germ load in a 120 m³ room using the Cubusan CP-120 compared to conventional air purification devices. While the Cubusan CP-120 disinfects up to 99.99 % of the air in an empty, but germ-laden, room after only one hour, some devices require several hours for this according to the manufacturer’s specifications. As soon as there are people in the room again, the germ load increases again with conventional air purification devices. For an effective reduction of the germ load, the room air would have to be continuously fully circulated at least 6-8 times per hour (which can lead to strong drafts and noise pollution), as the exhaled aerosols first have to be drawn in again via the air circulation system and then filtered out. With the Cubusan CP-120, on the other hand, the aerosols are neutralized immediately after exhalation by the hydroxyl molecules in the air through the discharging of electrons, and the risk of transmitting the germs to other people is PERMANENTLY at a very low level, provided a minimum separation distance of 1 meter (or 3.5 m²/person) is maintained.

Why conventional air purification devices have significant disadvantages, even in empty rooms:
